Happy Birthday, Jesus!!

It's the most wonderful time of year...

YES IT IS! i couldn't sleep for some reason last night. all i could think about was "what in the world did mom & dad get me?"

RECAP: on saturday, my mom and i went Christmas shopping. we had to go to best buy so my mom could return something. i thought it was something for one of my brothers so i mosied on over to the videogames to see if i could pick something out for them, another guitar hero game perhaps. we leave the store empty handed and i asked my mom if she returned something of mine to which she nodded her head. "what could it be??!" my brain racked for answers: a camera, a zen...what?? my mom refused to tell me. it drove me insane up until today when i could finally open my gift. so you can understand why i was tossing and turning last night.

well today was the big day: Christmas! my parents werent done wrapping gifts so we had to wait until about 10 before we could unwrap them. we decided to do each other one at a time so that it was more relaxed, organized, and longer. the 'thing' that was to be returned, i still have to find out but what i got instead were the piano tribute to Wicked and the Wicked soundtrack. my parents are also getting me tickets to go see Wicked very soon!! so that was very exciting/surprising!! i wanted to go see it for such a long time so to finally be able to see it is well amazing. i didnt expect to get tickets because when i snooped (oh, come on! you do it too!!) i didnt see anything from ticketmaster or theatremania in mom's inbox so i kinda dismissed the idea of going to a show. however, i stood corrected and happily at that.

among the tickets and cds i got Celtic Women cd, potc 3 w/ calendar, $25 gc to borders, hot new clothes, a book, curling iron, slippers, & money. it was a simple but relaxing Christmas and this year i felt more excited giving my parents and brothers their gifts than actually receiving mine! i love Christmases like that!!

so all in all a wonderful day spent with family =D

hope your Christmas was as happy and bright as mine. from my loving home to yours, Merry Christmas

chestnuts roasting on an open fire

well...we don't have any chestnuts but the fire is still burning in the woodstove =) it snowed a few days ago. just an inch or two but still, it SNOWED! having it snow this early in jersey is pretty exciting! Christmas is in the air. Ah, the lights, tree, presents. while these things are nice, let us not forget the TRUE reason why we celebrate. Jesus. They can do everything they can: ban saying merry christmas, take the nativity out of public schools, remove the ten commandments out of judical buildings. But, when it comes right down to it, the whole reason why the businesses do so well in December, why everyone seems to have a smile on their face this time of year, why we put up a tree and give gifts, is because 2000 some odd years ago Jesus was born. So, welcome Him into your home. Make Him the guest of honor at your Christmas Day table.

I decorated my room so now it's all full of lights and garland. it's very pretty =). i'll post some pictures of my room later. on monday, i got my first paycheck and guess what my first purchase was? mmhmm, this little thing i've been wanting ever since it came out! I still dont understand why it was released in october but hey, i have the cd! my favorites are: silent night, angels we have heard on high, little drummer boy, thankful, come all ye faithful, it came upon a midnight clear, and the christmas song. yes, i know. i like almost half the cd...ok it is half the cd. but it's so great! the duets...ehh. but his voice is very good so that makes me happy!
the senior chapel is coming along. i am done the script so now it's up to the seniors of 08 to pull together and get their lines memorized before the show next week. we still have costumes, props, sets to create...oy vey. it's best just to take it a day at a time...very very very slowly. haha! ehh, with God, we'll get it done. no worries, hakuna matata, peace on earth, shalom.
that's all i have for now...byee
oh did i mention i'm going to see trans-siberian orchestra? mmhmm, yea. be jealous O=)
