Back to Blogging

Hello, fellow bloggers! It's been a while since I last wrote. Maybe a week or so?

Before I came to Belmont, I had this overwhelming sense of something as we were driving toward campus. As we were pulling into the parking garage, a sudden realization came over me. I think this was the first time I experienced the woman's intuition. Now, to determine whether the intuition is true there needs to be more time. However, my woman's intuition told me that my man who I've been waiting FOREVER for is going to come into my life this year.

For a long time I was desperate, let's say, to have a boyfriend, to find that one who would complete me. The truth is, Jesus completes me and the guy should only be there to encourage me to be more like Jesus. Having realized this over the summer, I have had a new outlook and really am not concerned with the frivolity of "love". It'll come when it's meant to come; but I think this overwhelming feeling is trying to tell me something.

I'll keep you posted on that one...

Classes started on Wednesday and my classes are proving to be a challenge. I'm taking 18 hours this semester just so I could make up the hours I couldn't take my first freshman semester last year. I think with these hours under my belt, I'll be good and will be able to scale down to 16 hours next semester.

I'm taking three journalism courses and three general educations.

Understanding the Bible
Medieval World
Covering Diverse Populations
Media Ethics
Advanced News
Romanticism in England

The last one is getting me worried just a little bit. The class is geared toward juniors and seniors but are also open to sophomores. I'm probably the only sophomore in that class. During the first meeting, the teacher was kind of intimidating me by the authors I should know (I've never heard of them) and the things we would be doing. She's a little cookoo. I was thinking of dropping the class, but then my competitive side came out and I really want to prove her wrong. So, I'm sticking to the class. Maybe taking all these hours will keep me motivated and on my toes. It's going to be challenging sometimes but I know the reward is going to be spectacular.

My computer was having some difficulties as soon as I moved in. I opened the Belmont network and it froze my computer. I took it to IT and the dude was able to get it up and running again but doesn't know when it'll freeze up again. A new hard drive is being ordered, the second one this year.

For all you soon-to-be college students, do not go for a Dell. Their commercial is cute but I've had to deal with so many problems. I recommend an HP or Toshiba, leaning towards the HP.

So, with that, I bid you all a wonderful night.
