Graduation = cleaning, running, lots and lots of coffee

Summer began for me a couple of weeks ago. Maybe two or three weeks ago? I celebrated my 20th birthday. My mom celebrated her *cough cough 34th birthday. Memorial Day weekend was a blast. We went down to my cousins' beach house, ate, did some boating, laughed a ton. Great time to be had.

Austin, my younger brother, is graduating high school tomorrow. Can you believe it?! I swear it was yesterday he had that bowl cut and smiled so huge with those bean teeth. He was the most adorable kid out of the four of us, I'll admit it. Yes, my fond readers, he even beat me out. In all honesty, I was an ugly duckling. I'm a beautiful swan now though so it's all good.

With a graduation comes a party. With a party comes food that has to be ordered, a house that needs to be cleaned, and timeless organization that just never gets done. Thankfully, mom and I can get the former two underway. The house is almost all cleaned and we do our running for the orders probably in the early afternoon.

I've been losing weight. I weigh myself tomorrow so fingers crossed. I'm wearing the same dress I wore to my H.S graduation tomorrow night. I'm so happy because the dress is a little loose in the back. Woohoo! Shedding the pounds has to be the biggest ego-boost EVER! Best thing I've ever done.

My goal is 20 lbs by August.

Let's make it happen.

'Tis an update more or less...

Hello, glorious bloggers. I shall update you in bullet-form my life as we know it.

  • I didn't get a part in Fall Follies. Yea, I know. Bonkers. Whatevs. AMTC here I come!
  • 3rd year writing and cornerstone will have to be saved until next semester. Belmont's registration for classes is so dumb. There are only a few classes for 3rd year. Some go through their junior year still needing writing, so as seniors, they take it their senior year. It's quite pathetic. Then, with cornerstone, there are only a few that are really beneficial for the general student.
  • Having said that, I am now taking a history class I don't need. Eh, it'll count as an elective. My schedule is as follows:
Elementary Spanish 1
Journalism Workshop
Journalism as Literature
The Roman World
  • I don't have to take any more than 16 hours a semester now. Praise God!
  • I finished all my projects and papers except a policy paper that is 5-7 pages. I'm shooting for 6.
  • I only have 3 finals but am going home on the 12th. I can wait.
  • My Ireland meeting is tomorrow. This trip is becoming more of a reality with each passing day.
  • With finals looming, I'm missing my parents and brothers a whole heck of a lot.
  • My friend Kimi got an internship in NYC!!!! Much fun will be had this summer
I think that's it for now. I'm still looking for a job but am going to do some writing over the summer for Examiner.com which will be fun. I'm going to be a theater critic so watch out for articles and such.

Adios!

Drop a line

Hey guys!

Well, a busy week is upon me but I wanted to keep you all up to date on what's going on or what will be going on in the near future.

Today I had my audition for Fall Follies '10. I think it went well. haha I performed one of my original monologues, told them how much I absolutely LOVE performing and theater and spoke in a New Yorker accent. Great time! We'll see if my name is the one of the fortunates to be put on the list. *Crosses fingers!*

After my last class, I needed to hustle to my advisory meeting. That only took about five minutes because I had all my stuff in order:

Elementary Spanish 1
Journalism Workshop
Third-Year Writing (waste of time!)
Journalism as Literature
Jesus/Gospel & Film

Should be a great semester next year. I can wait, though.

Now I'm off to my group meeting because from here on out, in business of news, we're doing hour-long presentations. None of us know when we're going so we have to be prepared for whenever! It's kind of intimidating...

After that, I guess I'll come back to the dorm and try to nap. I'm way tired and just so sick of projects and papers. I'll have to get up at 4:30 though for SGA (last one under old management. I really don't know how I feel about that. There are pros and cons...more cons than pros).

I think after that meeting, my day will be done.

I think.

A lesson in the sky

I woke up today to an empty room. Ash had an interview at 10am so she had to leave quite early. I heard the door close but it didn't really faze me.

At around 11am I decided to roll out of bed and start getting ready so I could meet Martha for lunch at 12:30. My suitemate jumped into the bathroom and I wasn't able to get in until about 12:15. Thankfully, I take my showers at night so I just had to refresh myself. While I waited, I decided to start on my research paper. (It seems as though every Belmont student has a research paper or some paper. I have three...plus finals!) I began typing and got to about half a page when I decided to put on some Christian music. I tuned my computer to Star 99.1 fm, the NYC christian music channel. I love how they stream the music online. A girl in Nashville could feel she's at home by listening to her home radio station.

I stared out the window at the bright day. By this time, the trees were swaying in the breeze but the sky was a bit cloudy. After being a little disappointed the day was going to be a little cloudy, I turned back to my computer. After a few sentences, I turned to look out the window again and the clouds were still there. This time, though, my eyes traveled upward. Way beyond the cloudy grey, was this magnificent, beautiful blue sky with just one little puffy cloud. God began to speak to me in that moment...

How often do we concern ourselves with just what's ahead of us? It's like we put blinders on and just focus on what's ahead, not what's to the left or the right or upward. Sometimes if we just concern ourselves with what's in front of us, we miss the point that the Lord is above. The Bible encourages us that when things seem dire, to keep looking up because that's where our salvation lies. Today's weather was just a lesson to not keep yourself down by what you see in front of you. When there seems to be a grey cloud coming to meet you, look up and remember you have Jesus on your side.

Just a thought...Have a good Saturday!

Sunny with no chance of rain

The baby panda is me. The "momma" panda is everyone I sneeze around. I've never had allergies before. My friend Ben said it takes about two years for allergies to develop when you live somewhere new. Well, it's been exactly two years since I moved from Jersey for college. This is ridiculous!

I'm currently in the Starbucks on 21st with Ash. We're supposed to be studying but the atmosphere is heavy with high-pitched voices and what sounds like another language as special coffee orders are announced.

"Miss, was your latte non-fat?" (that's all I understood out of about 5 minutes of conversation)

The workers are nice enough but they're just a little too loud, openly conversing with customers and making them feel as bright as it is outside.

I love cordiality like the next human being but it is kind of excessive when someone is loudly asking how someone's pomeranian pooch is doing or just how LOVELY the weather is outside. A study session in Starbucks may not have been the best idea.

Ash minds a little because she's trying to look up 28, count 'em, 28 different art images for her art history test on Monday. Monday! The day after Easter. I feel so bad for her. She has to look up the images and find as many facts on the paintings as possible. Lucky for her, we were able to find a table and there aren't that many people indoors.

I don't necessarily mind because I'm doing research for my business of news research paper due next month. Aren't you so happy for me that I'm actually doing research in advance? I love doing research. When I was younger, I hated it because I had to look at old books and internet articles. Now, I love it! I love asking a question and then looking it up and finding an answer. The problem is taking the research to write. Sometimes it's hard and then sometimes I love forming words around words to make a readable symphony.

As more orders are taken and Starbucks jargon wafts through the air, Ash and I are continuing our study session. Maybe Nicholas Sparks will be read after my extensive research...hmmmm =)

Tragic Scene

As I type sirens are going off on 15th Ave. I think a house fire happened. I've never experienced driving by a house that's burning, water pouring into the street by the fire hydrants. Firetrucks and ambulances were parked haphazardly down the narrow street.

Ash and I went out to Kroger and smelled the smoke before we saw it, curling its brown tail up and up into the blue sky. It's so sad and devestating. Of course the news trucks are there. That's why I could never do hard-hitting news. I couldn't deal with interviewing someone who just lost their house or doing a story that will give me more face-time and (maybe?) a bigger paycheck. Why should I advance on account of someone's tragedy? Nope. Never going to do it. I pray I never have to do that. I think if I compromised and did a story such as that, I would lose my sense of self.

Strong words but words I live by.

Whatchu lookin' at?

Currently listening to:

New favorite song! It's perfect for this week. Temperatures this week are going to increase to about the high 70s. I <3 global climate change!

This week is a three day week because of Easter. It feels like spring break is a million miles behind us. Weird. Because of the short week, I suppose the teachers got into a frenzy because everything except the kitchen sink is due! Tonight I have to study for my AVP test, do my video proposal and go over my speech that's due on Wednesday. It doesn't seem like much but walk a minute in my moccasins and you'll see. You'll see.

Anyway, this break is going to spectacular! With the beaut weather, my friends and I are planning to go to the park, chill out and read, go shopping in the Village, and look really cute doing it! The only things I'm wearing are dresses. It's time to put away the bulk and layers and say hello to bright, beautiful printed dresses.

You may be wondering why I titled this post "Whatchu lookin' at?" Aside from the fact it's a shout-out to Madonna's age-old song, Vogue, there was something that happened in Comm Law that was just way weird and I had to share it with ya'll. We're talking about copyright infringement and all that beautiful stuff. Well, Thom opens up the class with a question: Does YouTube infringe on copyright? I shook my head no and he called on me to expand on my thought. I said how YouTube has a list of music you can add to your video that is okay to copy. If you have a music bed that YouTube considers infringement they disable it. If you've uploaded a video, you've experienced this at least once or twice. Well, we have a guy in the class that's an adult student. I don't mind adult students so long as they act like students (ie coming in class acting as if you know more than the teacher isn't cool). As I'm speaking, people are looking at me (including adult student) and I don't really mind so much. Big deal. Thom starts speaking and instead of looking at Thom, the adult student is intent on STARING at me!

If I had any gaul like Ash does, I would've glared back at him. Instead, I rested my hand on my face, blocking my view of him. He finally turned to look at Thom. I told Ash this and she completely agreed it was creepy. I think it's a part of societal ediquette that you don't stare at people. That's why kids get slapped upside the head for staring. It's rude! It's obnoxious, uncomfortable, annoying. She wondered if he was thinking about what I just said or was so ignorant and blown away about what I knew. 1) Dude could think of what I said without gawking at me and 2) his time could be better spent writing down what I said and doing further research out of the classroom. Either way takes his beady eyes off me and onto his notebook or Thom.

Am I being too brash? Too harsh? I don't think so. Don't stare. It's a simple, polite thing. Look at someone when they're talking and when they're finished talking, go about your business.

Tell me what ya'll think.

Empowered, uplifted, ORGANIZED!

Can this post solely be about how organized I feel?

Because right now I feel very much organized and feel like I can breathe...at least into tomorrow.

I overread for philosophy so I don't have to read tonight. We had a group meeting for our Google business models last night. Don't let me get into that...the only thing I will say is I hate when people don't make an effort to meet group members and instead have their priorities (or what should be their priorities) out of whack.

We decided to do a powerpoint and I offered to throw something together. I came back last night at 11:15pm and got it done in an hour, took a shower, and crawled into bed. I woke up way sore all over. I don't know how in the world I slept but it wasn't good. Nope. Not in the slightest. My left leg is killing me! I think I rolled onto the muscle or something. Who knows! All my eyes wanted to do was close back up. But, I had speech class so I had to go. Jen and I were supposed to meet at 10am to pick up a video camera to start shooting our basic shots for our first video project. We were both a little intimidated by the project so we decided to walk around together and shoot individual shots. That way we could help each other figure it all out, too.

I decided to go back to my room after class and lie down for 30 minutes. Well, those 30 minutes did wonders because I was good to go when I woke up. Jen and I met at Gabhart and did some videotaping. We met back up at 1pm since I had class at 11-1 and she had class from 12-1. All except for three shots are completed. The only reason we didn't finish was because the battery went dead. We would've finished had it not been for that minor hiccup. It's all good, though. We're gonna meet up at 12 tomorrow and finish taping. Then in class we'll capture and then we can edit. Both of us should be done our individual projects by Tuesday, which is right on time!

My speech is coming along very well. I'm almost done writing out the script. I need to finish that by tomorrow night (along with a case study for Comm Law...maybe I'll do that tonight after Synodia) so I can start practicing over the weekend.

I think that's all the huge stuff. Our class is supposed to Skype Jeff Jarvis. It'll be really cool to ask him some questions and be able to talk to him face-to-face. Business of News is such a cool class, opening up opportunities everywhere! If we can't Skype him then our models need to be presented, which is why we were in a scramble yesterday and last night. It's all together though so breathing can happen again.

Phew...

Hola!

Sorry for not updating in forever. I wasn't able to log into my blog for some reason. I was starting to think someone hacked in and changed everything on me. But then I thought maintenance? In order to ease my mind, I think I'll stick with the latter.

It's always weird typing with semi-dry nails...

Spring break was last week. It was really good to see the family for a bit. My mom and I bonded again. Got together with Michelle and Mims at Olive Garden on Friday and then Friday night went to La Piazza with Jill, shopping for heels and then Starbucks. I love my friendship with Jill. No matter how long it goes without texting each other, whenever I come home, it's like we pick up right where we left off. Everyone needs friendships like that I think. They're just chill.

My flight was cancelled due to plane maintenance on Sunday night so I had to stay an extra day and a half at home which was fine by me! USairways didn't have any direct flights until Tuesday so I was a little behind in school, but now everything's okay. Easter break is soon and once again teachers are trying to stress us out beyond recognition so there's a lot to be done.

Oh, good news! Adam interviewed for an aerial photography job. He'd be the pilot who flies these photographers around as they take pictures for Google Earth, Maps, landscape pictures, etc. The company just got back from Haiti so it's a really cool job for Adam to get. If it's God's will...which I think it is.

I talked to him a few days ago, asked him how his interview went. On his way there (the interview was in PA) he got a flat tire! He called AAA who was very swift in fixing it and getting him on his merry way, arriving with three minutes to spare! If that's not God, I don't know what is.

I have a speech to give next Wednesday. It's a social action speech and has to be "persuasive". I'm doing mine on farmland preservation, supporting local farmers, etc. Hopefully it goes well. I got an A on my last one. Yea, I know! I thought I completely bombed it but I guess comparitively and by God's grace and mercy, He pulled me through and I got an A. Woohoo!

All my other classes are going well. I don't know. I have this feeling that in April I'm just gonna sail right through. We'll see...haha It is college. Maybe a tsunami of assignments will engulf me. Yikes...on second though, no gracias!

It's a rainy, cloudy, thundery day in Nashville today...bullocks.

Break, hair and technology

You're probably wondering why or how I'm typing a blog post when supposedly we don't have internet at my house.

Well, now we do.

Hughes Net has saved my parents from truly being out of the loop. It's a breath of techy air and I'm loving it. Sure, it's such a baby step compared to the fast-paced outside world, but considering we're out in the middle of nowhere with nothing but a highway and massive fields everywhere, this is huge. The boys were having a field day with the internet, looking at youtube and what-not. I'm just so glad we have wireless. I can now do what I wanted to do for a very long time: sit on the couch with a blanket, Smokey near, surfing the web at my leisure. Fabulous.

I got my hair cut! Ever since I originally cut my hair short, I can't seem to let my hair get really long anymore. It's kind of ridiculous haha. I would take a picture of me with my hair but I look so tired. So, you'll just have to wait til tomorrow. Oh, you can wait!

So far spring break has been really good. I've spent some time with family and my weekend is going to be spent with friends. Lunch with Michelle on Friday and La Piazza with Jill on Saturday. There's really cute waiters at La Piazza. Sort of like an Allentown, NJ Olive Garden.

Ciao, bellas!

One day away

Yikes-a-million! The days seem to fly by so quickly. I hardly know what day it is anymore. Thank God I always have my cellphone with me to check. Ha!

Ash and I just went to Sonic for the billionth time this week. Don't judge. We've had a really hard week this week. Sonic was our savior. God bless M&M blasts...

I finished packing about a few minutes ago. There wasn't much to pack. I'm going home for a week so I didn't want to go overboard. Plus, I'm bringing back my Carlos Santana's to show the girls and to show off with some outfits. I'm thinking of wearing them for one of my speeches. Who knows...

Break is going to be spent getting my hair cut, eyebrows waxed, lunch with Michelle, dinner with Jill, and getting money in order for Ireland.

Oh, did I say Ireland? Yes. I said Ireland which means I'm GOING TO IRELAND THIS SUMMER!!!!!

Let me give you the low down.

Remember the post where I said I wasn't going because the money was so tight? Get this.

I was in the art building with Ash as she was working in the photo lab and I was just chilling, texting Michelle about stuff. My mom called me with a very special surprise.

"Your grandparents are willing to give you $3000 for your Ireland trip. If you still want to go, you may want to call them and tell them."

I couldn't believe it! It took all my strength not to just collapse on the floor with gratitude.

"I told them how you saved up half but wouldn't be able to go this summer because it was more expensive than you anticipated," my mom said. "They asked if it would help your career and I told them it would tremendously. That's when they offered to give you $3000 for the trip."

I got off the phone with my mom and quickly called my grandmom and poppop. My grandmom said she was happy to do it and would help me whenever I needed it (within reason haha). My poppop said "The world is hard enough out there. You need all the help you can get." That is completely and utterly true.

So, $3000 is mine and now my summer is going to be more exciting than I planned. Isn't God something? You think you have everything situated out; you've made peace that maybe going somewhere wasn't in God's will and then He goes "That's really sweet you trust Me to give you a great life. But, here's you're desire of your heart, daughter."

It's so stinkin' awesome! He always manages to surprise me when I least expect it.

This summer it's the moorlands, Dublin and Galway for this lass.

Tomorrow though is New Jersey.

Ciao!

From Anywhere to Here...

Homecoming was the big week-long event here at Belmont. Yesterday was the pep-rally. Being in SGA, I had to help with handing out shirts to the masses. YIKES! When you say "free t-shirts" people bombard you.

Today was the homecoming game against Kennesaw State. Needless to say we won. Beat the Owls by 30 or so points. It was pretty sweet.

Ash and I painted faces while Martha and Kimi handed out free, leftover homecoming t-shirts. *Cue bombardment*.

Here are a few pictures from tonight:

Girls first

Kennesaw eventually won by 1 point

Dragging my feet

Hey guys and girls!

I just got out of class. Every time I come out of Business of News, I feel like I've sat there for the entire day! Maybe because we get so much done. Our presentation was today. It was based on the piracy model since we read
It was actually a really great book and has some key points journalists can use. Shoot, the news industry in general needs to use some of these tactics.

After this class, I don't know how in the world I'm going to be able to do a 9-5 EVER! I think I'm gonna have to be my own business. The thought of working for someone else is just so unappealing now that I've been exposed to this information. I don't wanna go! I don't wanna go!

The next book on our list is "What Would Google Do?" by Jeff Jarvis. I've already started reading and I'm about 20 pages in. Yea, it's that good. I'm compiling a small list of books to read after this semester, maybe during the summer. I'll be working but also will stay educated and informed.

I think I get my AVP test back. Yea...not so excited. More than likely got a D on that sucker. It's so annoying, really it is. My problem is, I can work with the technology and produce a great video, but ask me what an XLR cable is and I look at you like you're speaking rubbish. Now, if I saw the cable maybe I could tell you but even that's a stretch. Allow me to work with the technology and I'm fine. Test me on it and you think I'm not learning anything. I promise I am! It's just better to work with it than see the term on a piece of paper. Hopefully he understands that.

Tomorrow's Friday which means I only have a week left until spring break. Could I be any happier? Nah. Don't think so.

Well...maybe if Jesus came back today...yea, that'd do it.

Tuesday, Tuesday

We had glorious 60 degree weather on Saturday and now...

Winter has returned to bite us all again. Dang. I had to exchange my short-lived dress wearing back to my winter coat and jeans. Spring will come. I'm sure of it!

[stomach growl]

Uh oh.

Better get something to eat before I head out for the day.

Catch ya'll later.

***I know this post is random. I do that sometimes...***

Saturday!

Yesterday was a good day. I finally finished my book for Business of News. Now I just have to come up with a business model and present it on Tuesday.

No big.

Actually, my group is meeting tonight to work on the project so cross your fingers.

Ash and I went to Target after she got off her 6 hour shift. I bought this little number:

She bought a dress too, I think. We also bought magazines and Starbucks and pretty much just bummed around the store for two hours. After we got back, I set up a new website (http://www.amandastrav.wordpress.com/) and she watched the Olympics. How cute is Apollo? He's just so laid back. It's very attractive.

I've been in a frenzy all morning. From running back and forth to the laundry room to trying to type up the Homecoming 2010 candidates' accomplishments for the Vision, Ash described me in one word: stressed.

I wasn't stressed...just annoyed that it's a week (no more like three days) before Homecoming and I just got the green light to send something off to the Vision. Bad management.

Maybe Elle will calm my nerves. I'm wearing my dress today because it's gonna be like 65 degrees today!! I'm so happy. Spring is finally going to be upon us. Flurries shmurries. It's all about the SUN!
Enjoy your Sundays!

The Milky Way

You know the Lincoln MKZ commercial? Well I had been looking for the song forever and a day. Needless to say, tonight I have found it. It was "Under the Milky Way Tonight" by The Church originally, but Sia (yea, first time I'm hearing about her, too) did a great great cover. I love it.

Just a little update

I haven't written much just because these last two weeks have been crazy busy. Homecoming is next week so SGA is trying to get everything set up for that. I'm in charge of getting pictures and bios of the homecoming nominees together. Supposedly, I'm working with the Vision but they haven't gotten back with me with any ideas so I don't know what's going on with that. I may need to make a visit...dun dun dun!

After homecoming, I make my informative speech on World Vision. Spring break starts Friday and I have a lot to do (including packing) to do before I can fly out. I have papers, reading (lots and lots), my speech, and another case study and test before then.

If I don't write for a while, don't unRSS me. haha I swear it's just college and hopefully at the end of break, I'll be able to exhale.

I was going to do a post about Lent and what it means to me but I'll save that for next year. I decided to give up Facebook for Lent. I'm on my third day and I don't have any use for it. I thought it was going to be extremely hard and there are some times when my fingers want to type in the all-too-familiar URL but I always remind myself that I would just be wasting time. It's been on my heart anyway to give up the procrastination tool and what better time to give it up then Lent?

Another thing I'm doing, which is pretty cool (practically everyone on Belmont's campus is doing this), is 40 days of water. Bloodwater: Mission is an organization that helps build wells in Africa for safe drinking water. What Belmont students are doing is drinking only water and then what we would spend on other drinks like coffee or soda, we donate the money to Bloodwater. It's been a little difficult and I have to remind myself that I can't have green tea with my salad, but it's a good thing. The "water challenge" coincides with Lent so I'm killing two birds with one stone.

I think that's it. Other than school, everything's fine. I'm reviewing All My Sons in the Troutt tonight at 8pm so go to my Web site to read the review tonight or tomorrow. It can be your weekend read =)

Oh! My younger brother, Austin, is on his way to Venezuela for his mission trip. Pray for safety for him and the group and guidance for him. He has a few future questions that need to be answered and I believe through prayer, God will show him his path.

I'm on my way out the door for meetings and class so have a great weekend!

Be mine

You may be rolling your eyes at the title. "Oh gosh" you may think, "not another I-loathe-valentine's-day-because-i'm-single, angst-for-someone post."

Nay, friends. Actually, I've learned to appreciate the day for what it is. The actual holiday may be all commercial, but the concept is beautiful. It's a day dedicated to show the ones you love how much you truly love them! It's not just for lovers (though commercialism may tell you otherwise). It's for parents, brothers, sisters, friends, aunts, uncles. Heck, even the postman. It's a day where everyone should be happy and filled with love and appreciation for the blessings they have in their lives.

It's like Thanksgiving only instead of turkey, you get candy!

Who's my valentine this year? Well, for 19 years running (this being the 20th) it's Jesus. Hey, at least His love is constant. He doesn't need to show His love with flowers that will wilt, balloons that will deflate, or chocolates that will melt. He showed the ultimate love by dying on the cross and giving me LIFE!

Who's valentine has done that?

Jesus will still be my ultimate valentine when God gives me that someone He's been saving. Jesus won't hurt me, will never disappoint. He's my Rock, my Salvation. He's who my heart beats for.

Jesus is my ultimate valentine.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I don't know

For the first time in a long time, I sit to blog because I have a hunger to blog and I come up empty.

There is nothing. Same old.

I hate those two words 'same' and 'old'. They're even worse when put together. Together they represent a monotony, something I try to run from. I don't like to get comfortable. I like adventure and while I take comfort in the goings on of life, I don't like to stay in one place for long.

Ironically, this adventurer has two words to describe what's going on.

Same old.

Who dem Saints?

Excuse the ridiculous grammar. It was painful to type.

BUT, I suppose in the end I picked the right team to root for, huh? Saints won. hahaha

And it was their first ever superbowl victory in the history of their team so they were very much the underdog. That's why I love the superbowl, especially when there's a team who has never won. They play with so much heart and passion. It's just inspiring and teaches everyone if you set your mind to something and put your passion behind your work, you will succeed.

Not saying the Colts didn't play with passion but I do believe they've won the superbowl before. If anything, I believe it would've been a gloating thing for them. A bunch of dudes body slamming each other "Yea, man. Told you. We're number one. We're the best!"

With the Saints, it was a lesson learned. If they apply themselves, they can go far.

That's my after-thoughts on the Superbowl. The commercials weren't that great except for the Doritos commercials. They're always fun.

Speeches were today. Yea, that's all I'm gonna say about that hahahahaha

The next speech is an informative powerpoint. I'm thinking of talking about World Vision, what the organization is, how they help, and what they've done recently. If I could work for any organization, I think I'd work with them.

All my other classes are doing great. Syb won't be in Tuesday and Thursday. Instead of cancelling class, she wants us to talk about Pirate's Dilemma and perhaps skype her? Sometimes I curse technology.

That's about it. I'm thinking of lying down for a bit. I'm so tired.

Oh, here's a tip: If you want your Mondays to go well, start your day by dressing yourself to the nines. I'm wearing heels, skinny jeans, a white button-down cuffed with a blazer. A long necklace and diamond earrings complete the look. I'm feeling good about myself and giving Monday a second chance to be great.

Happy Monday!
